We're excited to introduce Facilitator Course Building, a new capability that gives facilitators the ability to select and customize their own course contents directly in the platform.
What's New
Until now, selecting course contents was handled entirely by the Genius Academy team — which meant waiting on availability, coordinating back and forth, and relying on someone else to make changes. Facilitator Course Building changes that.
You now have direct access to the full Genius Academy experience catalog and the ability to build, adjust, and publish your own course — on your schedule, without needing to go through an admin at any point. Want to swap out an experience? Do it yourself. Want to restructure your modules at 11pm? Go for it. Want to spend two weeks browsing the catalog and trying experiences before you commit to anything? Totally possible.
This is about giving you ownership over your course — the flexibility to build it the way you want, the time to get it right, and the confidence that comes from knowing exactly what your learners are walking into.
How It Works
You're invited to your course shell. Your Genius Academy contact sets up a course framework and invites you as a facilitator. You'll receive an email when you've been added.
Access your course in the platform. Log in and navigate to your course. Click Edit Course to begin building.
Add experiences from the catalog. Browse, filter, and search the full experience catalog to find what fits your course. Filter by discipline, assessment type, disorder, and more — or explore freely to discover new options. Add or remove experiences until your course feels right.
Design and organize. Arrange experiences into modules, rename lessons, set start and end dates, and structure the course however works best for your learners. All tools from Editing Courses are available throughout.
Save as draft and try it out. Save your progress at any time and experience the course as a learner would — you can take any experience yourself directly inside the draft. This is your time to iterate: adjust, add, remove, and refine as much as you need. Co-facilitators can be building and reviewing alongside you in the draft at the same time.
Publish when you're ready. Once you're satisfied, hit Publish — and your course is live. From there, you can start inviting learners.
Virtual Client Experience sessions are not available to add through the catalog. If your course includes VCE, you'll continue to coordinate that directly with your Genius Academy point of contact — nothing changes there.
This applies to new courses only. Reach out to your Genius Academy contact if changes are needed on an older course.
